Make History by Making an Impact on Student's Lives.

About 95% of IWU students receive scholarship support and financial aid. There are a variety of avenues to help lessen the financial burden our students may face, which allows them to focus more on succeeding academically, taking advantage of the myriad of student enrichment opportunities, and deepening their friendships to help shape their futures that will impact our world.

General Student Scholarships: Funds for General Student Scholarships ensure an IWU education regardless of a student's financial situation and provide flexible aid for the variety of socioeconomic and familial situations IWU students face.

Parent Fund: The Parent Fund offers financial assistance to current IWU students who experience the death or permanent disability of a parent. These grant dollars allow students to stay the course when such a loss might have financially derailed their college journey. This fund has helped more than 300 students since its inception.

McLean County Scholarship Program: McLean County High School Graduates admitted to IWU are eligible to receive an automatic annual scholarship of more than $36,000 thanks to the success of this scholarship program to enhance local higher education opportunities.

Giving Circles: Giving Circles allow individuals to come together and collectively fund scholarship support. Every dollar raised in the various Giving Circles supports a deserving IWU student that honors a shared experience of the Giving Circle donors such as major, fraternity/sorority, affinity group, athletic endeavor, etc. You can choose a giving circle to support by selecting the Affinity Groups and Giving Circle Scholarships area of support on the donation page.

Named Annual Scholarships and Named Endowed Scholarship: If you would like to contribute to an existing named annual scholarship or named endowed scholarship, you can do so by selecting "other" on the donation page's drop down menu for "areas of support," then select Other under the fund designation. A box will pop up for you to write in the name of the scholarship you would like to support. If you are interested in establishing a new named annual or endowed scholarship, please contact the Advancement Office.
